MURUNGAI ( INDIAN ) HERBAL SOUP / MURUNGAKKAI RASAM

This soup / rasam is good for health. Can keep diabetes under control too.
A:
1 tsp pepper corn
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cummin seeds
1 dried chilli
3-4 cloves garlic
3 shallots
1 stalk curry leaves
1 stalk coriander stem
Coarsely ground the above ingredients
B:
2-3 murungai cut
( use bit older ones )
1 tomato cut
Salt to taste
1 tbsp tamarind paste
2 cups water
C:
1 1/2 - 2 cups hot water
1/2 tsp asafoetida powder
D:
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cummin seeds
1 dried chilli cut small
1 stalk curry leaves
E:
Coriander leaves chopped
METHOD:
Add A , B & cook.
Once murugai is cooked add C.
Remove from fire.
In a frying pan heat up
oil fry D, pour into the soup / rasam.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Sever with rice or drink as soup.
Enjoy cooking
