Kudampuli Chemmen Curry

Ingredients:
Prawns: 1 cup
Grated coconut: 1 1/2 cup
Small onion: 3-4 no
Green chilly: 2 – 3 pcs
Tomato: 1 small
Crushed Garlic : 1 tbsp
Crushed Ginger : 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Chilly Powder: 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1tsp
Mustard Seeds: 1 tsp
Gambooge/Kudampuli: 2 pcs
Curry Leaves: 1 spring
Fenugreek seeds/uluva: 1/2 tsp
Oil:
Salt
Method:
1. Clean and devein prawns.
2.Mix tomato, green chilly, garlic, ginger and gambooge/kudampuli in a manchatti(earthen pot)/pan. Pour 1 cup water to this. Cover and cook for 10-15min on medium flame.
3. Grind coconut,chilli powder,coriander powder and turmeric to a smooth paste.
4. Pour this grinded paste to the mix.Add prawns to it.
Allow it to boil in low flame for 10-15 minutes. Remove from fire.
5.Heat oil in another pan, splutter mustard seeds and fengreek seeds, add curry leaves and small onion. Pour this seasoning over the curry. Serve hot
