Aloo Bhaji 

Ingredients :

Cooked and mashed potato : 2 medium sized
Onion : 1 medium, choppeed
Mustard Seeds : 1 tbsp
Green Chillies : 2-3, chopped
Turmeric Powder : 1/4 tsp
Oil : 2-3 tbsp & for deep frying
Coriander leaves : a few chopped
All Purpose flour : 1/2 cup
Water : as required to make batter
Salt : to taste
Method :

Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a kadai , when hot add mustard seeds and wait till they splutter. Add onion and green chillies and saute. Add turmeric powder and salt and saute again for few minutes. Put the mashed potatoes and mix well . Finally add coriander seedsd and after mixing well take them out and keep it aside to let it cool. Make small lemon sized shapes out of the potato mixture . To make the batter, add water and salt to the All Purpose Flour and make its consistency medium enough to coat all the sides of potato balls (like the Pazham Pori batter ). In a wok, heat oil for deep frying. When hot, soak the potato ball on all sides in the batter and fry them in the oil . Take them out when it turns slightly brown. Follow the same with remaining potato balls.
