Chicken varattiyathu

Ingredients:

For marination
Chicken 1 kg
Ginger garlic paste 1 tspn
Turmeric powder 1 tspn
Red chilli powder 1 and half tspn

For prep

Savola 2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tspn
Garlic crushed 7
mustard 1 tspn
green Chilies 2
Tomato 1
garam masala 2 tspn
mallipodi 1 tspn
coconut oil
salt
curry leaves

step 1

marinate chicken pieces using salt , ginger garlic paste ,turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix well.keep it aside for 1 hour.

step 2

after 1 hour fry the chicken ,only half cooked.

Step 3

Heat a pan. add oil ,put mustard seeds and curryleaves.now add savola,green chillies , gingergarlic paste and crushed garlic. after the raw smell goes, add turmeric powder,chillipowder.saute well.now add tomato saute till it becomes a little mushy.put some salt,garam masala powder.finally add the fried chicken.
Mix well and cook for 10 min.
Chicken varatiyathu is ready now.
Serve hot .
