For those who love Arabic food. Chicken majboos

Chicken 1 kg preferably whole leg pieces with skin

Cardamom 6 
Cloves 8
Cinnamon 2 inch pieces 2 nos
Onion 1
Water 5 cups

Was and cook the chicken with the above ingredients and salt. While the chicken is getting ready lets prepare the masala.
Onions cut into chunks -2
Heat a nonstick pan and spread the onion in the pan and let it be there for abt 2 mts. Then stir once n keep for a minute . Repeat till the onions are done. (Onions kuzhanju pokaruth) . No oil is added , u can sprinkle some water or stock in between. Once the onions are done add a handful of raisins ( soaked in hot water for 10 mts) half tsp turmeric powder, quarter tsp black pepper powder, quarter tsp garam masala , 1 tbsp oil. Sauté for 1 minute and keep aside. Once the chicken is done take it out from the stock and apply some masala , chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper and salt if needed. Traditionally it's non spicy , that chicken is taken as such and grill it or put in a greased pan to brown the chicken. Here I have added some spices . U can add the spices as u wish. Now heat a pan and grease and brown the chicken. Now it's the rice part.
Heat 2 tblsp ghee in a vessel and add 2 cups of washed basmati rice and saute for 3mts. Then add 4 cups of stock ( boiling) and cook the rice . Check salt and add if needed. Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder also. Once the rice is cooked serve with dakoos (tomato gravy) and enjoy.
