SMALL SARDINES IN GROUND COCONUT (KUNJU MATHI PEERA)

INGREDIENTS :-
Small sardines (kunju mathi)
4Numbers Green Chilly Chopped
4Numbers garlic Chopped
1Inch piece Ginger slice into small pieces
8Numbers Shallots Chopped
1Cup Grated Coconut
Mango slices or 3 pieces cocum soaked in water
1Tbspn. Coconut oil
1/2Tsp. turmeric powder
1Spring Curry leaves
SaltTo taste
METHOD :-
Clean and wash the fish using salt and lemon juice.
Take grated coconut, shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilly, salt,turmeric powder in an earthen pan. Mix well, mixing with hands makes this more tastier or pulse it in chutney jar once. Then add cocum or mango slices and fish. Mix well.
Cover it by using a lid and cook in a medium flame until all the water gets evaporated. Sprinkle coconut oil and curry leaves over the dish just before removing it from fire, and cover the pan. Keep the pan covered until ready to serve.
